Godiag K100 is a professional hand-held key programmer for Chrysler / Jeep, and Godiag K101 is an auto key programmer for latest Mazda / Subaru. The hardware is the same, and the difference is the software. So is it possible to update K100 to K101? How to do?
Here is the answer of godiagshop.com engineer:
Yes.
First, you need to provide your K100 device SN to us for modification.
After that, if the software inside the device is still Chrysler/Jeep, you also need to register and update the software to Mazda/ Subaru.
Follow the steps below to complete the job.
1.Install “One Key Upgrade” update tool
Step 1:
- Remove the TF card from your Godiag key programmer
- Insert the TF card into computer
Step 2:
- Login official website: obdstar.com, and click Service>> Download>> One Key Upgrade
Step 3:
- Download and install the “One Key Upgrade”. You will see the software (OBDSTAR UpgradeTools).
2.Register
Step 1:
- Power on the device and you will see the following messages
(VEHICLES, OPTION, ABOUT and SELFTEST)
Step 2:
- Enter the menu “About”
Step 3:
- Get the S/N and the Register PASSWORD
Step 4:
- Open the “One Key Upgrade”
Choose “Sign Up”
Fill in the related information (product SN, register password, dashboard code, user name and password), and then click “Register”
The registration is finished.
3.Upgrade
Step 1:
- Open the “One Key Upgrade”
Input your username and password. Then select “End User” and click “Log in”
Step 2:
- Enter your S/N (the new S/N which has been modified)
Step 3:
- Click single software or select all to update.
Note: It’s better to click “Format memory card” while updating
Step 4:
